The Emblem Challenge:
Crafting FIFA22’s Iconic Symbol
Introduction:
In the world of emblem creation, few challenges are as great as crafting the main emblem for an event as significant
as FIFA World Cup. When three companies failed to provide even a prototype, SUAP ART was entrusted
with the herculean task of producing a 26-meter emblem – and in just 38 days!
The Challenge:
Time was of the essence. With only a 3D drawing in hand, our journey began. Development of structural drawings started.
Parallelly, architectural studies, wind load assessments, and soil bearing examinations were initiated to ensure
the emblem would stand strong and proud. Simultaneous approach was essential to meet our tight deadline.
Precision Engineering:
The emblem’s skeleton, a metal structure, was not just a testament to architectural prowess but was an art piece in itself.
Drawing comparisons with the precision required to build landmarks like the San Francisco Golden Gate Bridge, there
was zero tolerance for errors. Our metal tubes were laser-cut to perfection, and the continuous 24/7 welding
operation demanded shifts of dedicated craftsmen.
Unwavering Quality Assurance:
No weld was overlooked. Our specialized quality team closely supervised
the process, ensuring each welding point met our stringent quality criteria.
Giving Shape to the Dream:
Parallelly, a fiberglass casing, birthed from foam, the foam was carved simultaneously on 16 machines.
This would serve as the emblem's elegant exterior, enveloping the robust metal core.

Designed for optimal assembly in Doha, the structure was divided into 24 units, some of which weighed an
astonishing 19 tons. To negate any room for errors in Doha, we test-assembled the structure twice in our facility.
Logistics:
Transporting the emblem was a puzzle in itself. Sea shipping was off the table due to time constraints, and the emblem’s
size and weight made commercial flights unfeasible. Our solution? Eleven military cargo plane flights straight to Doha!
Installation:
A dedicated team of ten craftsmen from SUAP ART made their way to Doha, successfully assembling
and installing the emblem in a mere 14 days, just in time for the inaugural game of the FIFA World Cup.

The FIFA22 Emblem stands as a testament to SUAP ART’s commitment, skill, and the trust placed in us by our clients.
Every challenge was met with determination and expertise, and the results speak for themselves.
